Our Story

 

Nestled in the heart of the Nantahala National Forest in Western North Carolina, with unrivaled views of the Great Smoky Mountains, The Vineyards at Betty's Creek is a breathtaking vineyard property ideal for weddings, corporate retreats, family reunions, or a scenic vacation.

 

The Lodge's first life was as a bank barn built into a hillside in rural Pennsylvania. It was purchased, moved and then reassembled in North Carolina. 

 

The floors are wide planks that range from eight to eighteen inches, shaped from trees on the property. The ceilings, walls and cabinetry all feature reclaimed lumber, and flooring in the bar area and powder bath are reclaimed tiles from the Burgundy region of France. 

 

The Honeymoon Cottage is built over the original 1900s wine cellar, which still features the wood and shelves of its original owners. The Groom's Barn loft area is in the original barn building, with reclaimed barn wood.

 

The owners of the property have placed hundreds of acres of this mountain oasis into conservation protection, building a strong future for the hundreds of varieties of plants and animals that live here.
 

The Vineyards at Betty's Creek offers a vast array of on-site amenities, in a setting that provides for some of the best outdoor and recreational activities available in North Carolina.
